Job Overview

Summary/Objective

 

The Business Analyst will leverage their analytical thinking to develop, implement, and maintain dashboards using PowerBI and other analytical tools for presentations and analysis, primarily supporting the needs of the corporate leadership team. This role involves gathering requirements, analyzing data, and creating insightful visualizations to support business decision-making processes. The role will also involve providing assistance to the senior management in implementing measures for improving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards, reports, and data models.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements.
  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets to create meaningful visualizations.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability in all reports and dashboards.
  • Optimize PowerBI solutions for performance and scalability.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users on PowerBI tools and functionalities.
  • Stay up to date with the latest PowerBI features and best practices.
  • Present findings and dashboards in Business Board Meetings (BBM).
  • Document all processes, designs, and methodologies used in the creation of dashboards and reports.
  • Collaborate and cooperate with other PowerBI specialists throughout the Global CEIG Group.
  • Identify process gaps in operations through data analysis and co-ordinate with respective departments to improve operational efficiencies.

This position does not have direct authority to perform.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.  Because Corporate Headquarters is based in California, USA, working hours must be flexible to accommodate evening/late hour meetings. 

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Experience Required between 4 to 6 years.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
  • Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
