Job Overview

Summary/Objective:

As a Contract Administrator your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage contract administration functions of the organization. You will play a critical role in ensuring efficient operations, effective communication, and smooth coordination among various departments and teams within the company. Your focus will be on enhancing productivity, streamlining processes, improving controls, and fostering a positive work environment. This position requires strategic thinking, professional communication, and a deep understanding of contract administration in an engineering and manufacturing context.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Project Managers and other team members to ensure Nikkiso and clients are meeting all the obligations required under the contracts.
  • Be the single point of contact between the customer and Nikkiso for all commercial contractual issues.
  • Develop draft changes to contract and prepare necessary document for effective presentation to management.
  • Initiate, negotiate, and execute any required change orders.
  • Maintain contract records and update documentation per Nikkiso’s standard policy.
  • Educate staff on Contract Management procedures and initiate any required changes for improvement.
  • Responsible for project administration requirements including tracking and transmitting contractual document deliverables.
  • Responsible for the scheduling and coordination of contractual documentation with Project Planning & Project Management department.
  • Responsible for creation and updation of Sales Orders and Work Orders as per Nikkiso’s standards.
  • Coordinate with finance team and customer for milestone progress payment by providing timely notification.
  • Closely work with the Sales and Finance team for commercial and contractual matters.
  • Keep a watch on key milestones of projects in terms of payment as well as progress and alert to concerns if any abnormalities will be observed.
  • Should have working knowledge of ABG, PBG, and L/C.
  • Adept at managing time, especially when there are many competing projects in different stages of execution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software including Microsoft Outlook, Advance Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Effective in communicating, both verbally and in professional writing.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position has direct supervisory responsibilities and does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Work Environment:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
