Job Overview

An Executive purchase is a key professional responsible for sourcing and acquiring goods or services that meet a company's operational needs while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery timelines. Buyers operate across various sectors, including retail, manufacturing, construction, and fashion, each with unique demands and supplier eco systems.

Responsibilities

Essential Functional:


• Responsibilities:
o Handle day-to-day procurement of indirect items such as general consumables, Fasteners, Gasket, Safety related items, Welding items, IT related items, miscellaneous indirect procurement and factory related capex as per approved purchase requisitions.
o Identifying reliable suppliers and request quotations based on requirements.
o Strong follow up with vendors for material readiness and delivery status.
o Ensure timely delivery of materials as per projects or department needs.
o Convert Purchase requisition to Pos in software efficiently.
o Develop and maintain good relationships with existing and new vendors.
o Monitor the performance of the suppliers on a periodic basis and initiate necessary actions and communicate the same to the suppliers.
o Maintain and monitor quality system related to Purchase activities and Improve upon the same on Ensure Compliance with company policies & quality standards.
o Coordinating with finance for invoice processing and payment clearance.


Supervisory Responsibility:


This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.


Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/ commerce/ supply chain management or equivalent.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Indirect Procurement
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
• Strong coordination and follow up abilities.
• Good knowledge of PR to PO processes and procurement cycle.
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Knowledge of payment terms, including credit and advance payment methods.
